Greenwich is famous for it´s maritime history, which you can see nowadays too. In the Cutty Sarks Garden you´ll find the Cutty Sark, a big ship that was build in 1869 to be the fastest sea clipper. In addittion, the Greenwich Foot Tunnel connects Cutty Sarks with the Island Garden on the Island of Dogs.
For shopping you have to visit the Greenwich Market, here you will find the most unique items, clothing, accessories, jewelery and fresh fruit juices.
Greenwich is also very green and you will find a lot of parks here, like the Greenwich park and Charlton park (where the Charlton Summer House is situated). The O2 arena, also known as the Millenium Dome, provides Greenwich with events and concerts.
