Staatsliedenbuurt neighborhood is a residential area located on the right side of the urban and vivid Amsterdam's city center and the remarkable Dam square. Here we offer apartments in Amsterdam that are quiet and, therefore, ideal for nice relaxing and romantic stay in the so called 'Venice of the north'.
HISTORY: In the past this area represented a small rich place on the outskirts of Amsterdam, all the way until 1877, when it was integrated in the city. It was wildly popular because of the pub Tweehonderd Roe, which was the only one that didn't have to pay the city taxes for food and drinks.
ATMOSPHERE: The ambiance is truly charming and enchating. There, you can see the families on the multicolor bicycles with baskets driving around or happy couples walking and enjoying the romantic Amsterdam's canals. Nevertherless, it is a wonderful location for an apartment in Amsterdam.
PLACES: The first thing to do is to explore the charming streets of the area. Actually, this part was called 'Statesmen neighborhood' because the streets were named after the famous statesmen of 18th and 19th century. Just by crossing the river, you will reach Jordaan district, one of the oldest and, in the same time, the most unique part of the city. Also, there is a small walking distance from to the truly chaotic and distinctive city center, pure opposite of the Staatsliedenbuurt .
