The best sights of Barcelona

Barcelona is a fascinating city and there are many things to see. Here is a list of some of Barcelona's most popular sights.

Piazzale Michelangelo

Piazzale Michelangelo is the most famous panoramic terrace in Florence, easily accessible by bus, car or walk: the result is the same and once you reach the top you will be dazzled by the landscape that will open in front of you.

The entire city lies under you: the dome in the center, the Arno River topped by bridges, the imposing profile of Santa Croce church, the Arnolfo Tower, the hills on the other side ...
During the day, the Michelangelo Square (just called Piazzale by Florentines) is crowded with tourists, artists sitting on stairs painting, stalls selling ice cream. By night is a romantic destination because it offers an impressive display of Florence with beautiful lights.

In any season its charm is indisputable: in the winter is intimate, melancholic, almost a suite overlooking the city. In the summer time it's busy, cheerful, always accompanied by guitars and laughter. At the center of the Square there is the famous copy of Michelangelo's David, sometimes visible from a great distance.

According to the plans of the architect, there is a very scenic walk leading up to the Piazzale starting from Porta San Niccolo, which is right down there, that continues following the pedestrian ramps up to the front of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte , which dominates the hill with its monumental cemetery.

Nearby there are lots of bars and places to stop for an ice cream or coffee. Also it is an excellent destination for summer evenings where you will find a lively nightlife.
Over the years they often organize a variety of events as concerts or shows. Certainly the place lends itself to a single stage.
Do not miss two beautiful gardens they open seasonally: the garden of iris and roses garden.
Another must see is the Forte Belvedere, unfortunately closed to the public for some time, due to the choice of the public administration.
