Also known as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the "Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady of Valencia" was consecrated in 1238 by the first bishop of Valencia. Many Christian historians around the world assume that the true "Holy Grail" is kept in one of the cathedral's chapels embodied in a chalice.

Generally, the style of construction is considered as mainly gothic, but it is actually mixed with Romanesque, French Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neo-Classical elements.
