Berlin is a fascinating city and there are many things to see. Here is a list of some of Berlin's most popular sights.
The Charlottenburg Palace is the largest palace in Berlin and is located in the Charlottenburg district. It was built in the 17th century and commissioned by Sophie Charlotte, the wife of Friederich III, who was the elector of Brandenburg. The palace was enlarged a couple of times in the 18th century and is today a major tourist attraction. Inside of the old palace and the new wing you can find collections of paintings and porcelain, fine furniture and different styles of architecture. Outside, there are big gardens which are open for the public for free. You can enjoy your time in the “Kleine Orangerie” while drinking a coffee or you can just walk through the beautiful gardens.
